Community Groups are gatherings of 6 to 12 people meeting in individual apartments and homes throughout Midtown and the surrounding area during the week. Our groups have a rich and broad agenda. They are not just Bible Studies--they include prayer, worship, fellowship, sharing of what God is doing in our lives, spiritual nurturing, accountability and opportunities to serve our community.

There are many ways you can get involved in a Community Group. You may directly contact the facilitator of a group to inquire about visiting; ask someone at church about their group; fi ll out an information card during worship and state you would like to visit a Community Group; or call the All Saints Church offi ce at 276-1478.

We encourage you to visit a group several times before making a decision. It is often diffi cult to get a feel for a group after only one visit. If you attend a group a few times and fi nd that you just don’t “click,” we invite you to try another group.

The Purpose of Community Groups

Jesus tells us in Scripture that relationships are truly essential in life. And that is what the church is all about: relationship with God and with one another. Meaningful relationships are especially important in the city. Living in an urban environment can encourage a lifestyle that is fast-paced and shallow. We seek to change that by purposefully building communities within our church where people care for each other in a manner that reflects the love that God has given. Likewise, we seek to encourage each other by remembering, considering and contemplating the promises that God has made to us so that we are encouraged to trust and obey God concerning His will for our lives both now and in the future.

All Saints wants to be centered on our Community Groups. They are the church. Therefore, belonging to a Community Group is the way to truly belong to All Saints Church.

Most groups meet weekly, with a couple of breaks, throughout the year. The more consistently you attend a group, the more benefit you will receive.
