God has called All Saints to proclaim with brokenness and humility, the transforming love of Jesus Christ, and the hope we have in His love through Sacrificial Service to our neighbors regardless of their beliefs, because Christ cherishes Midtown and we dedicate ourselves to the healing of its physical, emotional, and spiritual wounds.

You are welcome to join us for any of these Serve the City activities. For more information or details about any of the Serve the City opportunities, please email Sally Powell or call the church office at 901-276-1478.

NEIGHBORHOOD PRAYER WALKS

Please join us as we walk the blocks around our Worship location at the Young Life Urban Center (1177 Poplar at Bellevue). We will be praying for the community and our neighbors that we meet as we walk. Join us outside the gates of the Young Life Parking Lot at 10:00 am on Wednesdays. The schedule for these Neighborhood Prayer Walks is flexible, so if you are interested in taking 20-30 minutes to get to know our neighbors and pray for those that are in need in our neighborhood.

Great lunch break for those that work Downtown or in Midtown.

MORE ON MONDAY

Snack Packs are served to the hungry and needy of Midtown on Monday evenings from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm in the parking lot across the street from Manna House (1268 Jefferson) on Jefferson just west of Claybrook. The Lord is really blessing All Saints through relationships formed at More on Monday. It is always a festive time in the parking lot where we serve the Snack Packs, so GET INVOLVED and join us!!

We prepare the Snack Packs after the worship service on Sundays. Join us in the kitchen and help!!

This is a great opportunity to serve with your whole family.

ADVANCE MEMPHIS

A.L.L. Steps Meeting (Advance Living Life) Join us in sharing a meal and attending the A.L.L. Steps Meeting at Advance Memphis (769 Vance). The purpose of A.L.L. Steps is to continue the community and natural support that develops among peers during Jobs for Life, Financial Freedom and G.E.D. Tutoring classes. Advance Memphis serves adults in the Cleaborn and Foote community by helping residents acquire knowledge and skills to be economically self-sufficient through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Children 10+ are welcome to stay for the Meeting

COFFEE ON THE CORNER - SERVE THE CITY SUNDAY

There is nothing like a hot cup of fresh brewed coffee served by a friendly face to warm the body and the soul! One reason All Saints is here is to Serve our City and make an impact on our community. We want to provide an opportunity to do just that while meeting the people in our immediate neighborhood. As a practical way of demonstrating God's love for our community, we will serve FREE coffee and hot chocolate to folks on the corner of Cleveland and Poplar in Midtown Memphis. This will be a great time to connect with some of the folks that live in our neighborhood - all with the goal of Serving our City with God's grace.

Come to Church early, casual and dressed warmly for this opportunity to serve with your whole family.

DOOR OF HOPE

Get involved by sharing a meal family style at Door of Hope. All Saints provides the meal one Saturday a month. Door of Hope is an organization formed to minister to the chronically homeless in Midtown. It provides a welcoming place where people living on the streets may come for a meal, learn healthy living skills and build positive relationships with other people. Door of Hope's purpose is to offer compassion and friendships... one-to-one relationships that are transformative for both the homeless and those that serve. It operates out of a house at 245 N. Bellevue just north of Poplar and the YL Urban Center.

This opportunity is appropriate for the whole family.

MANNA HOUSE

All Saints partners with Manna House to serve one Thursday a month. Manna House (MH), located at 1268 Jefferson, is a place of hospitality for homeless persons and others in need. At MH each guest is welcomed with respect and compassion. It is a living room for people from the streets. MH offers a place for conversation or rest, a cup of coffee and use of a bathroom. MH offers showers that include a change of clothes and some personal hygiene items.

Before MH opens at 8:00 am, the volunteers gather for a brief prayer at 7:45 am. We also gather at the end of each morning at 11:30 am for prayer and reflection. This time together after MH closes is considered to be crucial to the practice of hospitality as it allows each volunteer to share his or her experiences, to examine how they may improve in the practice of hospitality, and to bring all that they have done to God in prayer. Contact Sally Powell if you are interested in serving your neighborhood in this way.

This opportunity to serve is not appropriate for small children, but if you are a stay at home Mom with small kids and want to serve, please let Sally Powell know! We would love to get a group of volunteers together that could rotate watching the children during the shift.

NEIGHBORHOOD CLEANUP AND LUNCH

One reason All Saints is here is to serve our city and make an impact on our community. The way in which this will truly be accomplished is through the act of worship. Our “ceremonial” worship on Sunday mornings should lead us towards “substantial” worship at other times. Our worship includes acts of generosity, not just confined to our own congregation or facilities, but generosity that reaches into the needy places in our communities. We want to provide an opportunity for you to do just that while meeting the people in our immediate neighborhood.

As a practical way of demonstrating God's love for our community, we combine our ceremonial worship with our substantial worship on Serve the City Sundays. Our worship service will begin as normal at 10:30 am; however, after a shortened Worship Service (ceremonial), we will walk the streets of the neighborhood, picking up trash and meeting our neighbors (substantial). We have all the supplies needed (garbage bags, gloves, rakes, etc.) As we work, it will be a great opportunity to connect with some of the people that live around our worship location at the Young Life Urban Center. Please invite folks that you meet to join us for lunch after the cleanup. We will make quick work of the trash in our neighborhood - all with the goal of serving our city with God's grace and giving Him true worship.

Wear work clothes for this opportunity to serve with your whole family and stay for LUNCH!
